Fullerton Chapter History

For over 50 years, the National Charity League. Inc, Fullerton Chapter has supported the Fullerton community and the North Orange County area with hands on mother-daughter assistance to local charities.  Founded in 1961, members of the Fullerton Chapter in its early years enjoyed participating in many of the same activities we do today – providing assistance for local charities and philanthropic events, gaining cultural awareness through appreciation of many art forms, and developing our daughters as confident young women leaders.

We are proud to continue the efforts of our founders with service to our community. Our chapter began a partnership with Meals on Wheels in 1974 and we continue to be a major supporter through meal delivery service and financial donations. While our early ticktockers participated in the very popular Fullerton Horse Show, our ticktockers today continue their involvement in the community by activities such as collecting and donating dresses for the YWCA Prom Project, supporting summer programs for All The Arts/Fullerton School District, serving food for Hot Meals Ministry and volunteering at St. Jude Hospital.

Our strong Chapter traditions include teas and fashion shows, and these activities are still enjoyed today with our Annual Holiday Tea and what is now our NCL, Inc., Fullerton Chapter Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser. Evolving from a fun mother daughter event, today our Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser provides financial support to a variety of local philanthropies and supports the educational needs of young women through our scholarship program.

The Fullerton Chapter continues to honor our past by building on the work of our founders. We continue to expand our reach into the community through supporting new philanthropic partners and finding new opportunities to serve, learn, grow, and lead as mothers and daughters.
